Local meals

Nepalese flavors with a twist
Every meal at The Rapti Nest is prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients, many of which come straight from the garden, and with a whole lot of love.
The kitchen offers a thoughtful mix of traditional Nepalese dishes, complemented by fresh, crunchy salads and influences from Western cuisine.
Guests are invited to sit back and be surprised by a palette of authentic aromas, vibrant colors and rich flavors that nourish both body and mind after a day full of discoveries.
Guests are also very welcome to cook along and learn how to prepare Dal Bhat, momos or fried rice, so these dishes can later be made at home as well.
For those who prefer something more Western, there is no problem at all: spaghetti or fries can also be prepared.
Meals are mainly vegetarian, but meat dishes can be prepared on request.
Sustainability

Conscious hospitality
There is a belief that genuine hospitality should never come at the expense of the environment.
At The Rapti Nest, the aim is to live and work as sustainably as possible.
This commitment is reflected in the small and large choices made every day:
Plastic-free living
Single-use plastic is actively avoided wherever possible. From the choice of furniture to the reusable bags used at the local market, the goal is to keep the ecological footprint to a minimum.
Green mobility
To keep the air clean and the surroundings peaceful, local travel is almost always by bicycle or electric scooter. Air pollution is a very serious problem in all Asian countries.
Conscious living
By staying here, every guest becomes part of a journey towards a more sustainable future for the precious ecosystems of Nepal and the entire planet.
